Autumn

Was it me or did September whirl by?

I spent all summer waiting for September, because for a newbie like me getting any time off in the summer is virtually next to impossible. Last September was a crazy month full of travel and adventure and this September was no change. Montreal/ Quebec City was amazing, it was my little slice of Europe that I have missed so dearly. The cobblestone, the language, the chateau's, c'est tre magnifique! Then Vegas, and well what happened in Vegas ends up ... on facebook! Upon my return to this fair city, the trees were in it's amazing autumn transformation. I love autumn. Not only because its sweater season, and I revel in sweater season. The crisp-ness of the air, the sense of change. It is just beautiful.

Along with summer ending and autumn commencing, it is time for a fresh new batch of students coming through the department's doors. It got me thinking. Five years ago if you asked me where did I see myself five years from know, I had an answer. It was graduated and working. I try to asking myself that question now, and I can honestly say that I have NO idea. I truly don't. I find myself toying with so many ideas that I really don't know where to begin. I want to go overseas and volunteer, I want to save money and buy myself a slice of real estate and in some way begin the "serious" side of life. I don't know where to begin.

So I guess for now I'll just enjoy this autumn and see where it takes me. Wish me luck.

N.
